National Health Information Centre cooperates with Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic and Health Care Surveillance Authority at creation of the Slovak version of ICD-10 named MKCH-10-SK.
MKCH-10-SK as a standard tool serves for clinical use, data comparability in epidemiology, statistics, it is being used for healthcare management, and decision making in allocation of resources. 2016 update of MKCH-10 was processed in context of needs for DRG system, and eHealth with regard to needs for broad deployment in other fields. International classification of diseases, the tabular list MKCH-10-SK as a systematic sorted and hierarchically organized list of diseases (items) with settled and agreed relations between the items was processed in an electronic version a for better user direction.
